Perla discovered her love for baking as a little girl while watching Strawberry Shortcake. Inspired by the character Angel Cake, she began experimenting in the kitchen with her family, creating traditional Hispanic desserts like flan and gelatin. Her passion for baking grew as she watched Cake Boss and started replicating cakes for small family gatherings, experimenting with flavors and ingredients, all without using pre-made mixes.
What began as a hobby soon blossomed into something more. Friends and family fell in love with Perla’s custom cakes, and through word of mouth, her creations gained popularity, leading to more referrals and eventually, a growing business.
